Details: Head out and go for a nature trail ramble around the North Shore's Awaruku Bush Reserve. Easy tracks circle the quarry, where you'll see heaps of great native ferns, trees and stream life. Best of all, you get some great fresh air and a leg stretch. There are several entrances to Awaruku Bush (Moorgreen Heights, Relko Cres and Awaruku Road) in Torbay and the many trails meander their way to them all. There's picnic tables in the bush just perfect for a rest stop. See our Google Map for directions: View Things to do in Auckland in a larger map The reserve is cared for by the Awaruku Bush Society and the Royal NZ Forest and Bird, with the help of volunteers. We Say | A lovely easy walk on a gravel track (suitable for mountain buggies), but mind the mosquitos!
