Details: Oil up the bearings on the skate board, find that bike helmet in the garage and dust off your walking shoes. There is heaps to do along Marine Parade, and with the Rotary Coastal Pathway spanning a decent length of the foreshore, it's a perfect excuse to get some exercise and fresh air with purpose. The Marine Parade Foreshore Reserve itself is home to all the local favourites: Spirit of Napier Fountain, the Aquarium of New Zealand, Marineland, Skating Rink, Miniature Golf and the Marine Parade Salt Water Pools. Then, if you want to throw down a blanket and relax after your busy day of exercise, there's the Marine Parade Gardens - a perfect spot to wind down. Or, head there at dusk and sit by the fountain in the Sunken Gardens (lit up at night). We Reckon | Wow! This walkway goes for kilometres! Don't attempt to swim on Napier Beach - it's very dangerous and there are warning signs all over the place. Here's our blog from our recent visit. Getting to Napier's Rotary Coastal Walkway | You'll find the Pathway/Cycleway on the seaward side of the reserve - from the Seaman's Mission by the Port of Napier all the way south to the Tutaekuri River at Awatoto.
