Always wondered what Port Waikato is all about? Worth a day trip to find out. After an ambling, rambling countryside journey through Tuakau you'll pop out the other side, the southern entrance to the Waikato River as it meets the sea.
What a nice spot! Ahh, tranquility, rugged seas and rows of the traditional Kiwi bach reminiscent of 'old NZ' before it started to get all fancy! The beach is rich black sand, the water is rough, the surfers smile in delight and trot along the sand anxious to get in amongst it.
We Reckon | Known for it's sunsets and fish and chips, we reckon it's a fab combination. Check out our blog.
